MARGOT’S BI-WEEKLY DESIGN DISPATCH, NO. 2
Hullo friendly folks! Margot here with another dispatch of all things design. This week’s offering is heavy on the business, for a change. I’m nothing if not practical I suppose!
+ I like a good manifesto every now and again, don’t you? Mike Dempsey’s design & business tips (above) are spot on. And I didn’t know what “coalface” meant so it even taught me a new word. Alright, VOCABULARY! Via Daniel Gray.
+ Did you know that people can be both introverted AND extroverted? It’s true, and according to this article, creative types are especially prone to this unusual trait. As soon as I read this I was like, wait, it’s like they already know me! My extro/introvertive sides bash heads regularly, so I for one am pleased it’s A Thing now.
+ This A List Apart essay on Pricing Strategies has me re-thinking my entire approach to making money. I read it twice three times in fact. It’s unmissable, mandatory reading for any designer or creative person who charges hourly.
Go and be learned! See you in two weeks!
